They Can Also be Used for Mug Rugs and Trivets!
“Toast and jam” takes on a whole new meaning with these whimsical pot holders, mug rugs and trivets. Make the delightful jam jars, with or without the ruffles, the cute toast with butter and a dallop of jam love, or both for your kitchen.
These make great gifts too, perhaps wrapped up with actual jars of the recipient’s favorite jam.
Plus, bonus labels allow you to make jars of candy corn, jelly beans, fireflies and more. It will be so much fun shopping for fabric for these fun pot holders.
The jar labels can be embroidered by hand or printed on an ink-jet printer. June Taylor Colorfast Printer Fabric is recommended by the designer.
Pellon Fusible Fleece and Insul-Bright batting provide a bit of cush and heat-proofing.
Once completed, the pot holders designed by Suzanne Shore are:
- Toast – 7″ x 8 1/2″
- Jam Jar – 7″ x 8″

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
