Bring the Beach Home with These Cute Starfish
They’re Fun Toys For Kids Too!
Bring the beach inside with these darling starfish. Fill a bowl or basket with them, string several together for a garland, attach one or more to a wreath, tuck one into a centerpiece, give them as party favors … there are so many ways they can bring a fun bit of the shore into your home.
They’re super fast to make and a great use for larger cotton, felt, and fleece scraps. Embellish them with cute embroidered faces (or not) and little French knots, tiny buttons, decorative machine stitching, or sparkly sequins along the arms to indicate spines (or leave them plain).
Kids love to play with them too, although you’ll want to omit the buttons and such for the younger ones. A mobile with several hanging starfish would be fun in a baby’s room.
