Keep Food Fresh with an Insulated Bag!

Brown bagging it is a great way to save money, although bags are bit bland. With this set you can dine in style whenever you’re away from home. The quilted bag and matching cozy are simple to make and are great for enjoying a favorite fabric.

The bag is insulated with batting to keep food fresh. Or add a layer of Insul-Bright batting for even better insulation. Pockets, one inside and one out, are perfect for a napkin, condiments and more. The matching cozy can be made to fit a water bottle or a can.

There’s no piecing involved with this project. Instead, layer fabric and batting and machine quilt them to create “fabric” to construct the bag and cozy from. Finishing details are created with a matching fabric.

The bag is 6″ wide, 3″ deep and 7″ high. This clever pattern is from Tulip Square.
