Create a Beautiful Mini Quilt with EPP
This is a Great Take-Along Project!
Delicate florals were used for the beautiful hexie flower in the center of this pretty mini quilt. They continue on into the borders, creating a lovely little quilt to enjoy on a table or wall.
Hand quilting in matching colors adds a charming finishing touch. This sweet little quilt comes with optional instructions for hanging pockets on the back so it’s ready to display on a wall as soon as it’s bound.
This project is a wonderful introduction to English paper pieced hexies (EPP). If you’ve not tried this hand-sewn technique before, this mini is quite manageable and perfect for a take-along project. In fact, the entire quilt can be sewn by hand, if you’re so inclined.
Choose soft colors like in the oritinal, or go bolder. Whatever you like best is sure to produce a wonderful mini quilt.
The pattern, from Lauren Wright of Molly & Mama for Sew Can She, is for a 12″ x 12″ mini quilt.
