It Will Be Beautiful in Other Color Palettes, Too!

Brilliant crayon colors dance against gray and white in this striking quilt. The transition from cool to warm and back to cool colors moves the eye around the quilt.

This is a fun project because you can “color” it however you want. For example, it will be lovely in blues and violets against the neutral background.

Whirl Quilt Pattern

Two blocks combine to create the beginner-friendly design. One is made with standard piecing and the other is a simple foundation paper pieced block (you’ll find excellent FPP instructions here).

On Williams Street provides instructions for the following quilt sizes:

  • Baby – about 40″ x 60″
  • Throw – about 50″ x 72″
  • Twin – about 75″ x 89″
  • Queen – about 90″ x 111″

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
