Create a Striking Runner from Simple Strips

| February 18, 2025 | Table Toppers
It’s Beautiful in Any Fabric Style!
This charming table runner’s simple design creates a striking accent for your table. Modified Log Cabin blocks are easy to construct, making this a quick project you can complete in just a few hours.
For your interpretation, choose a combination of prints and colors you love. Fabrics for various seasons work nicely, too.
Whether you choose low-contrast prints that emphasize the strips or busier fabrics, the runner will be beautiful. A large variety of scraps will be lovely too.
Designer Anna Fournelle of Fresh Dew Drops also provides instructions for a square version that can be used as a table topper or baby quilt. The sizes of the completed quilts are:
- Runner – 14″ x 84″
- Table Topper/Baby Quilt – 42″ x 42″
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
