QAYG Makes Them Quick Projects!

Turn scraps into pretty trivets with Quilt-As-You-Go. They’re so easy to make and charming in any color theme.

Plus, you can easily adjust the size. Use small scraps to create coasters, and larger pieces for a table centerpiece or placemats. The process is the same regardless of the finished size.

The designer recommends cotton batting. If you’re making trivets, we suggest adding a layer of Insul-Bright batting or another heat-proofing material. Also, be sure to cut the binding strip on the bias so it lies flat around the curves.

The trivets shown here, designed by Minki Kim, are 10” and 8 3/4” across. Cutting templates are included (use a round object, such as a cup or bowl, to create templates for other sizes). We All Sew provides the free tutorial.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
