Excellent FPP Instructions Make It Easy to Get Great Results!

Curves can be tricky, but this charming block has the illusion of curves without curved piecing. In fact, it’s super easy to make using foundation paper piecing (FPP).

If you haven’t given FPP a try, this is a great beginner project. The designer’s video is an excellent introduction and makes it easy for quilters of all skill levels to achieve crisp points when making the block (you’ll find the video further down this page).

One block will be lovely finished into a small table or wall quilt. You can make it a little larger by adding borders. Or combine several blocks for an eye-catching quilt.

The following video shows how the block goes together. Designer Teresa Down Under provides instructions and templates for a 12″ finished block.

You’ll also need the block templates available for a small fee at the link below.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
