Show Off Your Skills and Make a Pretty Accent for Your Home!

Pretty little baskets of flowers turn a simple pieced quilt into something special. It will be lovely on your wall every spring and summer or all year long.

Dig into your scraps and select a nice combination for the body of the quilt. Notice how the variations of value and color give the quilt a true scrappy look. It will also be charming in a more controlled color theme.

Small Baskets Quilt Pattern

Square-in-a-square blocks (tips here) and a charming pieced border give the quilt an endearing personality. Fusible applique baskets are finished with a blanket stitch. The quilt is machine quilted with delightful accents hand-quilted in Perle cotton. This is an excellent project for showing off your skills (and to maybe stretch a little!).

The completed quilt designed by Lyn Briggs is 25 ½” square.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
