Cute Turtle Pincushions are Great Take-Along Projects

They Make Thoughtful Gifts Too!
If you enjoy slow sewing, you’ll love making these cute turtle pincushions. They’re constructed from English paper pieced hexagons and can be sewn entirely by hand (or not).
Choose a pretty combination of prints from your scrap pile and an accent fabric for the head, tail, and legs. Big-stitch hand quilting, as shown on the dark blue turtle, is a lovely finishing touch.
Whether you make one for yourself or others to give, you’ll enjoy watching these cute turtles with their plump shells come together. They can also be used as small decor pieces anywhere around the home.
The turtles designed by Jeremy Frossard measure about 3 3/4″ from head to tail and 2 3/8″ in height.
