Use the Colors of Your Favorite Flowers!

The yellow and purple flowers in this table runner are just the right pick-me-up for gray days. You can’t help but smile when you see it.

Other colors would be equally lovely. We can imagine white petals for daisies, rose or red flowers for more punch, and even blue to go with the decor. You’ll have fun mixing your favorite flower colors with the background color of your choice for a truly unique and unforgettable table runner.

You can also make one for every season. Red and white for Christmas, orange and brown for autumn and cheerful pastels for spring.

Scraps are pieced then cut out and appliqued to the background making this an easy project to complete.

The finished runner is 12 1/2″ x 53″ but you can easily adjust the length by adding or deleting flower blocks. A long version would make a lovely dresser scarf.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
