Dress Up a Patchwork Bag with Decorative Ties
Easily Adjust the Size to Fit Your Needs!
This charming patchwork bag is made even more so with the addition of ties on each end. The ties dress up the bag and give it a lovely finishing touch.
Start with a charm pack or put together a nice combination of 5″ squares from your stash. Construction is simple and straightforward, making this a relatively quick project.
Plus, the size of the bag can easily be altered by adding or deleting rows of patchwork. And, you can play with the patchwork by adding bands or otherwise altering the pieced design. You’ll find several variations to spark your creativity here.
Quilt the patchwork with Peltex or fusible fleece to give the bag structure. SF101 Pellon fusible interfacing is also used.
The finished size of the bag, designed by Lori at Girls in the Garden, is not specified. It appears to be about 16″ wide, 13″ tall and 4″ deep.
