Easy Piecing Creates a Lovely Quilt
Play with Color to Make it Yours!
Square patches and half-square triangles come together into a beautiful quilt with an intriguing overall design. It’s a relatively easy quilt to make and one that you’ll cherish for years to come.
Select one predominant color, in this case the dark blue, one accent color (red) and a collection of softer colors to blend with white. Ten inch layer cake squares are perfect, and make fabric selection a breeze. Or choose a wide variety of fat quarters.
Finish your quilt off with a border fabric that accents the predominant color. You might also consider a background color instead of white to make the quilt uniquely yours.
While the quilt is designed to be an easy one to finish, it will go together more quickly if you make 8 half-square triangles at a time. Learn how to do that here.
Designed by Sue Pfau of SweetJane, the finished quilt is 67” x 67”.
