Choose a Wide Selection of Your Favorite Colors to Make it Your Own!

Some of our favorite colors dance across the surface of this beautifully lighthearted quilt. The combination is delightful and creates a quilt we’d love to call our own.

Of course, it will be just as lovely in many other color combinations. Choose a wide variety of fabrics and mix them up as the designer has done here. The more fabrics, the better!

We had fun playing in Photoshop to see the quilt in other colors while retaining its lighthearted personality. It clearly will be delightful in any color combination, including deeper hues.

The finished quilt, by Allison at Woodberry Way, is about 79″ x 93″. Of course, you can make yours whatever size you want by varying the number of blocks or by changing the block size.

She did not use a pattern, but she says:

“… the stars are 12″ square, the sashing is 2″ finished, and the border is 3.5″.”

Fortunately, there’s a wonderful tutorial for making the star block by Amy Smart at Diary of a Quilter. She provides a chart with cutting instructions for several block sizes.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
