Easy to Make American Pride Quilted Potholders
Great Gifts for Anyone Who Loves the Red, White and Blue!
Declare your support for our country and troops with these wonderful “American Pride Potholders.” Use and display these little quilts all year around (we can see them hung in a grouping on the wall!) or bring them out for the 4th of July and summer barbecues.
Patterns are given for four blocks, one for each quilted potholder in the set of four.
“Meaningful events in American history are reflected in the names of the block designs used to make this patriotic set of four pieced pot holders — Boston Tea Party, Revolution, Stars & Stripes and Freedom Rings.”
This is a nice project for all those red and blue fabrics and scraps you probably have on hand. Mix them up for a traditional patchwork look. You might even tea-dye the fabrics for more of an Americana look.
The potholders measure 8″ x 8″ once completed and are quick and easy to sew together. You might consider sewing a border around one or more and displaying them as mini quilts.
