Play with Embellishments to Make It Yours!
This fun and quirky chicken basket is a delightful addition to your Easter table. It can hold up to 12 (colored) eggs or use it for napkins, rolls, apples, and more. It will be charming on your counter or table all year long, or save it just for Easter.
Embellish the chicken with new or vintage lace, as the designer has, or omit the lace for a more streamlined hen. Rick rack, decorative stitching, buttons, and other embellishments can be used to create your own unique version.

The basket designed by Alla from Alla’s Home Styles is about the following size:
- Height (center) – 3-3/4″
- Width from breast to tail – about 10-3/4″
- 7-1/8″ tall from head (and tail) to bottom
- Oval bottom – 6-3/4″ by 3-3/4″
Please note that the pattern pieces do not have seam allowances. You’ll need to add those when cutting.
