Get Scrappy with This Flying Geese Quilt

Plaids, checks and stripes give this charming quilt plenty of personality. It’s a great project for old men’s shirts, whether made as a memory quilt or from shirts found at the thrift store.
Of course, you can use new fabrics too. Floral and geometric prints combined with stripes and ginghams will be lovely made up in this pattern.
Choose soft colors, as shown here, or go with more vivid ones. Select a wide array of fabrics to give it a scrappy look, or coordinate around a color theme. Just about anything will work with this pattern so have fun with your fabric selections.
The quilt is made entirely from Flying Geese blocks and rectangular bars. Choose sashing and borders to pull the colors together.

- Twin – 63″ x 79″
- Double – 78″ x 87″
- Queen – 89″ x 91″
