Go as Colorful as You Want with This Easy Quilt
Any Color Palette Will be Great!
Columns of patches set off by white sashing create a colorful quilt for a baby or throw. Choose a beautiful fabric for the border to pull the quilt together.
It will be great in any color theme, and it’s perfect for using up leftovers in your stash. Start with 5″ charm squares or cut your own. The more the merrier for a colorful scrappy look.
We had a lot of fun playing in Photoshop to see the quilt in other colors. Christmas prints and patriotic colors will be great too, as well as deep colors for fall.
While white is lovely, black or gray sashing will really make the colors pop. Or use a color that accents those in the patches.
This is a simple quilt to make and appropriate for anyone who can cut and sew accurately.
Instructions are provided by the designer, Kristin Blandford Designs, for two sizes:
- Baby quilt – 39.5″ x 43.5″
- Throw – 58″ x 63.5″
It will be simple to expand this into a larger quilt.
