Dig into your stash for a colorful combination of 2 1/2″ and 5″ squares for this wonderful quilt block. Make it as scrappy or as color-themed as you want.
Finish the oversized block into a mini quilt for your wall or table. Or use it as a pillow cover. You can also combine blocks for a larger quilt.
The finished block, designed by Rachel Measham-Pywell for Sew Mama Sew, is 16.5” square. While it looks complex, it’s very simple to make.
Rachel has also created instructions for a quilt made from four of the blocks. It’s a quick and easy project that will be wonderful in your favorite colors.
The finished quilt is 44.5″ square, perfect for a baby quilt or a larger table topper. Add more blocks for a larger quilt.
