Make a Beautiful Quilt from Large Blocks

It’s Wonderful in Any Color Theme!

Large star-within-a-star blocks combine for a beautiful quilt. One block will make a lovely table or wall quilt, or go ahead and make a bed-sized quilt using nine blocks.

The coral, pink, and cocoa brown color palette is reminiscent of antique quilts, giving this one a beautiful vintage vibe. Other color themes will be lovely too, so go with whatever strikes your fancy. A multi-colored scrappy version will also be charming.

Make each block different to add interest to the quilt. This also allows the eye to move around the quilt to enjoy the various fabrics.

Once completed, the quilt designed by Sarah Maxwell and Dolores Smith of Homestead Hearth for American Patchwork & Quilting is 96 1⁄2″ square. One finished block is 24″ square.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
