Make a Charming Shamrock Hot Pad From Scraps

| February 21, 2026 | Kitchen Quilts, St. Patrick's Day Quilts
It’s Quick and Easy Even for Beginners!
Turn a pretty combination of green scraps into a festive shamrock hot pad. This is an easy project that you can have completed quickly.
Start with green and white prints, and perhaps add an aqua for variety, as the designer has. Rickrack and a plaid binding are lovely finishing touches.
This project is easy enough for beginners and makes a lovely gift for your favorite St. Patrick’s Day fans.
The completed hot pad designed by Eilene Johnson from Simply Eilene is 9” in diameter.
