Make a Cozy Winter Quilt with Mittens and Snowflakes
It’s Lovely for Christmas Too!
This fun and festive quilt is great for Christmas but it’s also perfect for staying warm on cold winter nights. Strong contrasts make a big impact regardless of the colors you choose.
Sew it up in red and white for Christmas or go with blue and white for frosty winter colors. While the examples are made with solid fabrics, small-scale prints will be just as charming in any color theme.
The extra-cozy red and white version shown here was finished with a cloud-soft minky backing that was brought around to the front for a wide border and self-binding (learn more here). The quilt can also be finished off with a traditional binding, with or without a minky backing (example below).
