Do you love dogs or do you prefer cats? Either way, you’ll enjoy these cute mug rug coasters depicting your favorite pets. They make great gifts for pet owners too and are fun uses for scraps.
The cute dog snuggles under a patchwork quilt on a lazy afternoon. It’s brought to life and given a sweet personality with fusible applique and machine outline stitching.
Perched on a quilt for a nap, the charming cat is just as much fun. While hand-pieced hexagons are used for the quilt, you can easily substitute simple patchwork. Ricrac trim and machine stitching are easy finishing touches.
Both projects, designed by Lisa Cox from A Spoonful of Sugar, finish at 7″ w x 5″ h and can be completed in an afternoon.
