Go Scrappy or Choose a More Limited Color Palette!

Pretty prints in a variety of colors come together in a delightful Log Cabin quilt. This is a great project for scraps or shop your stash, using as many prints as possible for an endearing scrappy look.

Notice the wide variety of print styles used in the example. There are stripes, geometrics, florals, and more. An equally interesting combination of low-volume prints is used for the light sides of the blocks.

Soft, bright colors predominate, giving the quilt a fresh and lighthearted personality. Go darker if you want, or play with more limited color palettes. The results will be beautiful no matter what you choose.

Designer Sherri McConnell from A Quilting Life provides instructions for a 56 1/2″ x 64 1/2″ throw-sized quilt.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
