Make A Tote Bag Perfect for Travel

Choose a Pretty Fabric and Stitch This Up so it’s Ready to Go When You Are!

This pretty bag is perfect for traveling, as well as for hauling quilting tools and supplies to class. It’s one of the few tote bags we’ve seen that zips shut, completely securing the contents.

The bag has handy open pockets on the outside, as well as zipped pockets in and out. The straps go all the way to the bottom of the bag making it extra strong.

The Quilted Traveler's Tote Bag

The clever design makes this a great carry-on bag for traveling. And, despite the zippers, it’s an easy bag to make.

Choose pretty fabrics to quilt for the body of the bag, or use a pre-quilted fabric for faster construction.

Or, choose fabrics to match the Travel Duffel (get the pattern here) and make up a matching set.

The tote bag pattern, from Jo-Lydia’s Attic, produces a bag that is a generous 17 1/2″ h x 16″ w x 6″ deep.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
