Make This Easy Quilt Shine with Pretty Colors
Speed Construction with Pre-Cut Triangles or Cut Your Own!
Start with pre-cut 6″ triangles to make this charming quilt a quick project. Accent them with strips of focus colors, like the pink, blue and yellow used here. Finish the quilt off with a border from one of the complements and you’ll be done before you know it.
If you prefer to mix your own fabrics, cut triangles from 6″ squares. While bias edges can be a bit tricky because they tend to stretch, starch will help them behave.
This quilt lends itself to experimentation with colors and fabric styles. We love the colors chosen by the designer but have fun creating your own rendition. Keep it light and bright or go with subdued colors, vivid ones or a monochromatic scheme designed around a favorite color.
The finished quilt, designed by Cathy Lee, is 40″ x 48 1/2″, perfect for a crib or lap quilt. It will be simple to add more blocks for a larger quilt.
