This mug rug collection is so much fun because it’s so versatile. Mix and match the elements to make your own unique mug rugs.

They make wonderful last minute gifts. In fact, make a couple extra to wrap and have on hand for unexpected guests.

Start by choosing one of the six blocks for the main part of the mug rug. You can also use orphan 6″ blocks, making this a quick and easy way to turn those UFOs into charming gifts.

Then choose a “sidebar” to complete the design. There’s something to suit every block style, whether it be patchwork or applique.

Or, just go ahead and make the versions created by The Patchsmith, the designer of this creative collection. There are many wonderful designs to choose from, even one with a little pocket.

The finished mug rugs range in size from 9” x 6.5” up to 11” x 6.5” – room enough for a mug and cookie.
