Mix Small-Scale Prints for a Charming Quilt
This is an Easy Quilt to Make!
This charming quilt is so easy to make, even for beginners. A wide assortment of smaller-scale prints gives it a scrappy vintage vibe.
Start with a pack of 10″ layer cake squares or choose a nice combination of leftovers from your stash. You’ll cut them apart and mix them up to create a coordinated scrappy look. You can also use small pieces of yardage and scraps.
Of course, the quilt will be beautiful in any color palette. Consider prints for any season for a quick and easy themed quilt.
The completed quilt, designed by Jen Daly, is 61 1/2″ x 70 1/2″. It’s easy to add more blocks for a larger quilt (or use fewer for a baby or table quilt).
You’ll find the pattern for the “Square Dance” quilt in One Day Quilts.
A combination of Lori Holt prints was used in the example. You’ll find packs of 10″ layer cake squares here.
