Pack and Go with This DIY Collapsible Thread Catcher

| January 8, 2016 | Sewing Room
Perfect for Travel, Quilt Group and Classes!
This clever little thread catcher folds up when not in use, keeping loose threads contained. It’s small and will easily stow, ready to go, in your bag.
This is a super simple project, so make extras.
You’ll want one next to your favorite chair and one for your quilting bag. Plus, your quilting and sewing friends will appreciate receiving then as gifts.

An empty Pringles can, batting, stiff cardboard and a fabric scrap are quickly sewn together to make this handy thread catcher.
The Fabric Therapy website provides an excellent step-by-step tutorial.
The well-done video by Angies Bits and Pieces shows you every step, as well.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
