Patchwork Hearts Make a Lovely Centerpiece

Play With Fabric to Create a Pretty Combination!
Patchwork hearts against a neutral background create a lovely table quilt. Display it for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries and other special occasions. It will be a lovely wedding or shower gift, too, in the couple’s wedding colors.
Choose a variety of prints for the patchwork. These can be fat quarters or leftovers from your stash. Notice how the designer mixed blue, violet and tan in with the red. The variety gives the table quilt a lot of interest. Consider varying the fabric styles, too.
Fuse the pieced hearts to the background, then use a satin stitch around the outside edges.
The finished size of the table quilt, designed by Deborah Schlegel of Art Threads, is not specified but it appears to be about 19″ across.
