Choose fabric you love for an attractive and protective iPad case. The case folds open and can be formed into a stand for reading and watching videos. Nice!
The instructions are written for a standard iPad but also include formulas to fit any device. So, this can also work for a Kindle and other tablets, as well as for phones.
Structure is provided by heavy chipboard (find it here) and the tablet is held in place with 1″ wide elastic. The elastic is easy to find in black and white, red is available here, or check your local fabric store for other colors. Fold-over elastic also works (check here).
The chipboard also provides protection for your device. We’re tempted to slide a piece of thin, compact batting into the piece covering the screen for additional padding against bumps but that’s up to you.
