Play with Color for a Striking Quilt
Change its Personality with Fabric Choices!
A modernized version of a Log Cabin block makes a stunning quilt. Depending on the colors and fabrics you choose, it can be modern, vintage, or anything in between. This is an extremely versatile pattern that can take on any personality you want to give it.
Play with color and its placement to create your own special version. Notice in the photos how the quilt changes depending on the background color. Color and value placement play a big part too. Look carefully at the photos to see variations and how they change the quilt.
While this is a simple quilt to sew together, the designer, Suzy Williams, has tips to help it go smoothly. Click here for Suzy’s article (and to see more examples!).
