This Fabric Ornament Can be Made Into a Tree and More!

The folded ornament that follows is not only easy to make, but several can be configured into a tree for hanging on a wall or from the ceiling. Pretty buttons or beads added to the center of the ornaments makes them extra charming.

The version below was found here.

Folded Fabric OrnamentThe next two ornaments were found on Katrina’s Tutorials. She also provides a nice tutorial for making the ornaments.

Folded Fabric OrnamentSew several ornaments together for a lovely tree. We love the little hanging decorations in this version from BossyMama.

Folded Ornament TreeThe trunk and stem are made from felt. You may prefer using an ornament, as seen in the following version from NannyCraft4U (website no longer available).

You may have other ideas for the trunk and stem as well.

The following tutorial is for making the tree. It also includes excellent instructions for making a single ornament.

These ornaments can also be made into a wreath, as Jennie Fletcher did. Instructions are not provided but you can easily construct your own using the ornament tutorial and following the photo for layout. You’ll need 6 ornaments and beads or other embellishments as desired.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
