Scrappy Acorn Hot Pads are Perfect for Fall

| October 9, 2025 | Autumn Quilts
They’re Easy to Make and a Great Use of Scraps!
Pull out a pleasing combination of scraps for these charming acorn hot pads. Fall colors accented by an appliqued leaf and rick-rack make them attractive and perfect for the season.
The acorns can be used as potholders or trivets and will be fun hanging in the kitchen when not in use. Plus, they’re easy to piece using Quilt-As-You-Go and sew together quickly.
Designer Eilene Johnson from Simply Eilene provides instructions for 7″ x 10 1/2″ hot pads.
