Scraps Come Together in a Stunning Quilt
A Beautiful Quilt With or Without the Intricate Border!
A wide range of “ugly” floral prints come together in a stunning scrap quilt. While the quilt is made from scraps, the colors are coordinated around a theme of yellow and lavender. Notice how the “off” colors, like the reds, enliven the end results.
The quilt, created by Bonnie Hunter, has a lovely pieced border that sets it off beautifully. While instructions are not provided for the border, Bonnie tells us she used 2″ strips. That may be all experienced quilters need to know in order to replicate the design.

Instructions are available for the 9″ Jacob’s Ladder variation blocks, which are based on an antique 1940’s quilt. A scrap quilt made from these blocks, laid out like in the photo, will be lovely with or without the pieced border.
