These inviting place mats are perfect for dining on your porch or patio during warm weather months. However, the luscious watermelons will add a nice touch of color to any table, whether indoors or out.
They’re also very simple to make. Easy piecing is accented with a bit of fusible applique. The appliqued seeds are finished with a blanket stitch for even more charm.
Matching napkins complete the look, while being simple to make. It will be fun using the place mats and napkins to set the mood for your summer table.
The finished place mats, designed by Lynette Jensen of Thimbleberries (from Landauer Publishing), are 12″ x 18″. The napkins are 16″ square.
