It’s a Beautiful Quilt for Your Collection!

A beautiful color combination and the unique design make this quilt one to treasure. If you’re looking for something different, this quilt will be a stunning addition to your collection.

It’s constructed using a combination of techniques. The modified Log Cabin blocks are made using standard piecing and create the body of the quilt (no sashing).

Simple paper piecing is used for the border triangles. While this quilt probably isn’t for newbies, those with solid piecing and pressing skills can achieve excellent and beautiful results.

When selecting fabrics, keep in mind that batiks and tone-on-tone prints add another layer of interest to the design as colors meld and move across the quilt. Solids and single-color prints that produce strong contrasts will create a bolder, more striking design.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
