It’s Sized for All the Necessities!

This pretty bag is nicely sized for the everyday necessities, making it a lovely substitute for a handbag. It’s large enough to hold a tablet and has six outer pockets to help you stay organized.

Showcase beautiful fabric and consider making more than one. It will be fun to switch bags with the seasons. Plus, this bag makes a wonderful gift.

Simple Six-Pocket Bag

It’s also super simple to make. You’ll have it completed in just a few hours. Be sure to watch the video on the tutorial page to see how it goes together.

The finished bag, from Better Homes & Gardens (designed by BH&G Holiday Editors), is 8″ x 10″ x 4″. This is a slouchy bag so add a fusible interfacing to the lining pieces (under the batting) if you’d prefer a slightly firmer bag.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
