The Secret is Freezer Paper!

Do you enjoy foundation paper piecing (FPP) but dislike removing the paper templates after sewing the blocks together? This clever technique uses freezer paper templates that can be peeled away from the finished block.

Plus, the templates can be used repeatedly until they no longer stick to the fabric. The secret is that you don’t sew through the paper. Instead, you fold it back and sew alongside it.

Teresa from Down Under demonstrates the process in the following video. Notice that she traces the templates onto freezer paper. You can also print them using an inkjet printer. You’ll find tips here.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
