No Curved Piecing with This Ingenious Technique!
Celebrate upcoming spring weather with this charming table set. The lovely eight sided table topper pattern comes with placemats to match.

Make a set for yourself and another to give as a gift. Despite their complex look, these are simple to stitch together and will be a quick project.

The curves are created using an innovative piecing technique.
The tulip petals and leaves have folded curved bias edges and “float” due to the turned-back bias edges, but there is no curved piecing.
The designer, J B Quilt Designs, recommends choosing a background fabric without stripes or a directional print. The backgrounds are sewn together from several pieces.
Finished sizes are:
- Topper – 19 1/2″ in diameter
- Placemats – 12″ x 17″
