Sweet Quilt Evokes Country Gardens

Add Borders to Make This Into a New-Baby Quilt!
The blue stars in this quilt give the illusion of movement and remind us of weathervanes. The pink flowers make us think of summer gardens. Between the two this charming quilt evokes the freshness of sunny days in the country.
Blue and pink give the quilt a soft and sweet look, but other colors would be just as lovely. Small scale prints and batiks work well with this design.
The pattern includes instructions for needle-turn applique for creating the flowers and leaves. For a quicker finish, leave off the seam allowances on the flower and leaf pieces and do fusible applique.
The finished quilt is 24″ x 24″. It will be lovely on your wall or table. Add 6″ borders to make it 36 inches square, just right for a new baby.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
