It’s All Done with Straight Piecing!

This beautiful block stands out in whatever colors and fabric styles are used to make it. Gentle curves are created with straight piecing, making for a standout design.

The block, named “Stella” (#4), was created for the 2021 RBD Block Challenge from Riley Blake Designs. It’s one of several great block designs that can be used in various projects or made into a sampler quilt (get all the free block patterns here).

Play with color for your own version and experiment with value placements. The block can be given many different personalities. Here are some examples to get you started.
