Insert Treats for Fun Easter Gifts!

Turn 5″ squares into charming egg-shaped treat holders. They go together so quickly that you can have several made in a couple of hours.

They’re fun to include in Easter baskets, to give to friends and hostesses, and to place on the plates at your Easter brunch table. Insert a few chocolates or other treats into each holder.

Start with leftover 5″ charm squares or cut up 10″ layer cake squares. You’ll need four coordinating squares for each holder.

Designer Ina from Crafty for Home provides a free tutorial for egg holders measuring about 3.5″ x 4.75″.

A printable copy is available for a small fee here.

You’ll also need the egg template found here. Carefully follow the printing instructions to achieve the right size (for example, print at 97% instead of 100%).

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
