These Hot Pads are Perfect for Your Fall Kitchen
Make More Blocks for a Fun Wall Quilt!
Black birds and pumpkins adorn these hot pads, making them a whimsical touch for your kitchen during autumn. They can be used as mug rugs too.
Make 9 blocks and combine them in a 3 x 3 wall hanging to accent your fall decor. The designer, Laugh Yourself into Stitches, suggests putting 1″ sashing between the blocks for a quilt that measures about 25″ x 25″. This will be wonderful on your wall or table.
While the blocks look complicated, they’re made entirely with squares, strips and half-square triangles. Just follow the instructions and you’ll have them finished up quickly. Choose a variety of scraps to make each one unique.
For hot pads, add a layer of Insul-Bright batting (find it here) for heat proofing.
The finished hot pads are 7-1/2″ x 7-1/2″.
A matching runner is included in the pattern. It finishes at 7″ x 37″.
