Create One or Several to Brighten Your Home!
Make one or more of these pretty pincushions for your sewing area. Or, display them as shelf-sitters and bowl-fillers for lovely spots of color anywhere in your home.
The charming blooms are created with English paper piecing (EPP) while the leaves and stems are appliqued. The pincushions are a fun way to expand your skills, and you can complete one in an afternoon.
Choose a pretty combination of scraps, including low-volume prints for the pieced backgrounds. Basically, you’re creating small stuffed pillows embellished with lovely blooms.
The completed pincushions, designed by Lisa Cox from A Spoonful of Sugar, are 6″ square.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article).
