Choose Classic Colors for a Timeless Throw Quilt!
Wrap yourself in a quilt during chilly weather that feels like a warm, cozy sweater. This throw quilt was inspired by the classic patterns of traditional Icelandic knitwear and will bring a touch of Nordic charm to your home.
Soft cream and grayed blues are reminiscent of beautiful woolen sweaters. The quilt will also be lovely in red or navy and cream, as well as other classic color themes.
Standard piecing is used to create the quilt. The large plain center provides plenty of space to get creative with quilting designs, if you’re so inclined, or go with an overall design like the one shown in the example.
Designer Karen Grage provides instructions for a 42″ x 60″ quilt. Create a larger quilt by adding a wide border.
