This Colorful Quilt is So Easy to Make
Add More Blocks for a Larger Quilt!
A slight modification to Fence Rail blocks creates a lovely overall quilt pattern with stars. There are no points to match so it’s a super easy quilt to make and one you can finish quickly.
Start with a roll of 2 1/2″ strips for the rails and stitch them together into strip sets. Or, use up leftover strips in your stash for a wonderfully scrappy look.
This quilt is lovely in bright, colorful fabrics. It will be wonderful in coordinated color combinations, too.
Jenny, from Missouri Star Quilt Co., demonstrates how to make this fun quilt in the following video. The fabrics you’ll need are:
- 1 Roll of 21/2” jelly roll strips
- 1 yd. of Background Fabric
- 3 yds. Backing

The finished quilt is 43″ x 43″. It will be a simple matter to add more blocks for a larger quilt. Or, stop after one black for a lovely table mat.
