This Four-Patch Quilt is Full of Surprises
Choose Interesting Fabrics to Make This Quilt Your Own!
This quilt is a surprising and lovely variation of a standard four patch. Pinwheel blocks add interest and the red boxes carry the eye around the quilt. Soft patriotic colors give it a traditional look, but will be equally charming in your favorite colors.
We can easily imagine this quilt stitched up in modern prints, reproduction fabrics and batiks. Choose subdued colors for a traditional look or select modern brights to give it a whole new look. It’s a versatile pattern that you’ll have fun playing with while selecting fabrics.
This is a fairly simple quilt to make, but you will need to cut and sew accurately to match the pinwheel points.
The finished quilt, designed by Karen Murphy Gass of Idaho Quilt Company, is about 57 1/2″ x 69″ once completed.
