This Holder is Perfect for a Mini Cutting Mat

It’s a Nice Gift for Quilting Friends, Too!
This easy holder is perfect for a mini cutting mat, rotary cutter, scissors, and more. It’s a great take-along when space is limited and even when it’s not.
The pattern can be modified for a larger mat, too. Simply increase the height and width of both the holder body and the pocket to accommodate a larger mat.
Choose a nice combination of 2 1/2″ jelly roll strips and enjoy how quickly this project goes together. Fusible fleece adds body as well as protection for the mat. A snap or velcro holds the cover closed.
The finished holder, designed by Monique Dillard of Open Gate Quilts for American Patchwork & Quilting, is 8″ × 8-1⁄2″.
