Make It Up In Your Favorite Colors!
Decorate your home for winter with this charming little wall quilt. Hang it on the front door (provided it’s protected from the weather), in the entry or anywhere that you want people to feel welcome.
Plaids are lovely in this hanging, which will be wonderful in other colors as well. We can imagine it in frosty blues and silver, holiday colors and in many non-conventional color combinations. You may already have scraps and other goodies in your stash to make it up.
The quilt is created with simple piecing, while the mittens are applied with fusible applique. Find (or cut) felt snowflakes, or add them with fusible applique as well. A bit of embroidery, by machine or by hand, finishes the rest.
Once completed, the finished wall hanging is 12″ x 18″.
A kit is also available at the link above, while supplies last.
The hanger shown in the photo is available here.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
